برافروز ای آتش باستانی
بده گرمیی سردی زندگانی
برافراز اینک اهورا سرودی
ز مهر و ز مزدک ز زرتشت ومانی
برافروز ای آتش سرکش ، در این میهن شاد و شنگ و خوش
بسوزان آئین اهریمن، مر این ضحاکان مردمکش
کزین دین دیوان به پیدا و پنهان در ایران نماند
به هر دل به هر جان مگر آتش مهر فروزان نماند

تو آن آتشی، که بی خامشی
زعهد جم و کی، فروزان و سوزان، ز صد دشت وصد درگذر کرده ای
تو آن آتشی، که بی خامشی
ز رطل وخم می، خروشان و جوشان زساغر به ساغر سفر کرده ای
برافراز وبرافروز و برافروزان
بسوزان زبنیان
سیاهی ، ستمکارگی، سفلگی رابه هرجا
زبنیان بسوزان
تو سالوس وسوگ سیهکاری وسوز زسرما
برافروز ای آتش باستانی

Burn bright, o ancient Fire
Rekindle today’s cold hearts with thy warmth,
And let’s raise
a hymn of praise
To Mithra and Mazdak,
Zoroaster and Mani![1]
Burn bright, o fierce flame,
with zest and art and zeal
Consume the statutes of Satan[2] in this land,
Today’s Zahaks[3], slayers of people,
Let none of this mad zealotry, real or hidden remain in Iran,
From hence, let no fire but that of Mithra!
Enflame every heart and mind.

Thou art that living fire,
Which, unquenched since Jam and Kei[4],
Hast flowed flaming over a hundred plains
and crossed a thousand thresholds,
Bursting forth from vat and vessel, roaring thy way from goblet to goblet, glass to glass
Rise! Burn! Let thy flames expunge
The fundaments of evil, oppression, corruption,
Consume at source all lying, grieving, anguish of mind and coldness of heart.
Burn bright, o ancient Fire

[1] Ancient Persian divinities & prophets[2] Ahriman, God of the material world is synonymous in Persian for Satan.[3] Zahak was a cruel ancient king who required the sacrifice of 2 youths per day to fulfil his pact with Satan.[4] Famous kings of ancient times, hallowed as the founders of Persian civilisation; Jam is short for Jamshid******
